PRMT is a highly effective form of manual muscle therapy.

Q: Is This Massage?
A: No. It's more of a muscle therapy. PRMT releases chronically tight, rigid tissue and restores the body to its natural alignment. The goal is to change the structure of the body and improve the function.
Q: Is It Like Physical Therapy?
A: No. PRMT focus is on lengthening and loosening tight, contracted, rigid tissue by applying specific pressure to the tissue. The goal is to eliminate chronic tension induced pain. Physical Therapy in general, focuses on building strength in tissue and uses ultrasound and stretching.
Q: Is It Like Chiropractic Treatments?
A: No. We do not do bone adjustments and we follow the laws of anatomy and physiology, which state that muscles move the bones of the body, not the other way around. When we return the muscle tone to normal function, the bones fall into alignment. No bone adjustments are needed and the structural changes to the body result in more long-term change.
Q: Is It Like Rolfing?
A: No, there are no preset sessions. PRMT follows specific treatment protocols, which enable us to customize each treatment to the client's specific needs. The focus of the work is on locating and treating the source of the pain or dysfunction.
We see that if you loosen and release chronically tight tissue, the body returns to its natural structural alignment. Rolfing in general, believes in MOVING tissue to improve structural alignment. We believe our methods are longer lasting and much easier to apply.
Q: Does It Hurt?
A: It depends on your muscle tone. If the tissue is soft and supple, then there is never any pain. If the tissue is tight and rigid, then it will be tender to the touch until it releases. Once it releases, it will not be tender. We only treat tissue one layer at a time. Never using force to penetrate tissue. We wait for each layer to release before going deeper.
Ruby Ervin, Administative Assistance
"I had been suffering with a hamstring injury for months, when one of my fellow running friends told me about Mehrdad, a Muscle Therapist. After just one treatment, my hamstring was much better. The constant pain I was having stopped. I strongly recommend this type of treatment. In my opinion, Mehrdad is a miracle worker."
Paola Smith, MD
"I have suffered from neck pain for years. Even relaxation exercises and yoga failed to relieve the tension in my neck. Mehrdad effectively diagnosed and treated me. After 3 treatments with his therapy, I have been pain free now for 3 months. I recommend this therapy to anyone with musculoskeletal pain."
Betsy Aaron, Executive Consultant
"After experiencing years of muscle tension that wouldn't go away, and in some cases limited mobility, I felt - and saw - a marked improvement after seeing Mehrdad. I am grateful to be working with Mehrdad and for being introduced to this healing method."
Socorro O'Connor, Medical Technician
"I would highly recommend getting a demo and understanding how this treatment addresses pain from chronic passive tension. Ask your questions and keep an open mind. I'm extremely grateful for having tried it and my body loves me for it! Thank you, Mehrdad. You're the BEST!!"
Pamela Johnson, Yoga Instructor
"Mehrdad moves with you versus doing something for you. You're working together. As a yoga practitioner, I was happy when Mehrdad asked me to take deep breaths as we moved through parts of the treatment. He uses his breath and asks you to breathe in synch, allowing you to let go."
